There are happy users, still running PPC Macs with OS X version 10.4, who haven't updated their software for years. I don't know what you've got against AgileBits, but again nobody is forcing you to buy the upgrade.

Secondly, if you don't want to pay Apple the commission they charge developers to sell software in their store - essentially a 'retail markup' - then why don't you buy 1Password directly from AgileBits and bypass Apple completely? In short, you're not saying "screw Apple" but rather "screw you, small-but-successful independent software developer!" Good one. The developers () only have about a dozen apps for sale, so I imagine they depend on upgrades to survive Apple take a commission on the hundreds of thousands of programs they have for sale in their online stores. "screw Apple, $19.00, are they out of their mind?" Eddieįirst of all, you're doing far more harm to the developers of 1Password than you are are to Apple.
